| Description: | This is what the scanning operation looks like. We put the steer in a typical cattle handling squeeze chute, then an ultrasound probe is held over the 11th thoracic rib. (The hair around that area has been shaved and we use vegetable oil on the skin to make good sealed contact with the probe). |
