5th Place Tie: Cube Steak Quesadillas

A zesty marinade

Jerry's Cube Steak Quesadillas were just too good to pass up so we chose this recipe in a 3-way tie for 5th place. Rich in soutwestern flavors, thezesty marinade in this recipe, along with the Pepperjack Cheese, will liven up your taste buds.

Cube Steak Quesadillas
Grass Fed and Healthy Cube Steak Recipe Contest - Tied for 5th place.
Name: Cube Steak Quesadillas
Description: Tying for 5th place, Jerry's Cube Steak Quesadillas have a fabulous, zesty marinade.
Ingredients: Marinade
  • 1/4 Cup Olive oil
  • 1/4 Cup fresh orange juice
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 2 Teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 Teaspoon good quality chile powder
  • Several dashes of Sriracha Sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Cube Steak Quesadillas
  • 1 Pound Cube Steak
  • 1 Cup shredded Pepper Jack Cheese
  • Flour Tortillas
  • Butter
Directions:
  • Mix marinade ingredients
  • Place steak in non-reactive dish or plastic bag
  • Pour marinade over steak
  • Turn occasionally
  • Marinate for about 2 hours
  • Grill or broil steaks to desired doneness
  • Cut steaks into small pieces
  • Place about 1/4 Cup of steak on half a tortilla
  • Cover with some of the shredded cheese
  • Fold other half of tortilla over steak and cheese
  • Lightly butter the tortilla
  • Fry in a skillet until tortilla is slightly brown on both sides and cheese is melted
