Herb encrusted sirloin tip roast
True elegance at an affordable price.
Name: Herb encrusted sirloin tip roast
Description: Elegant and delicious, our herb encrusted sirloin tip roast is perfect for celebrations and for leftovers
Ingredients:

  • 4 Pound Sirloin Tip Roast
  • 3 TBS. Olive oil
  • 4 TBS. Dried Rosemary
  • 4TBS. Dried Thyme
  • 2 Tsp. Onion Powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
  • Thaw sirloin tip roast for 2 days in refrigerator
  • Rub entire roast with olive oil
  • Rub entire roast with salt, pepper, onion powder, rosemary, and thyme to taste
  • Sear outside of roast on grill, grilling on four sides. about 3 minutes per side
  • Place on wire rack in roasting pan in 350 degree F oven
  • Using meat thermometer, remove from oven when center is 130 degrees

Depending on the actual size of the roast, actual oven temperature, and the size of the roasting pan, it should be done in approximately 1 hour, but be sure to use a meat thermometer early and often so it does not over cook.

For a rare center the meat should be at 130 degrees F. When it is taken out of the oven it will continue to cook so be sure you don't let it get too warm in the center.

The other great thing about this recipe is that you end up with several cups of savory Au Jus that you can serve over the roast slices or save for French Dip sandwiches.
