Keeping America Sick and Fat: The New USDA Dietary Guidelines
Filed Under Consumer, Grass fed weight loss, grass fed health, health
The USDA is at it again, and this week issued new dietary guidelines, from the same misinformed mindset that has made America sick and fat in the past few decades.
Once again, their recommendations promote a vegetarian, low fat / bad fat agenda, the same drivel we’ve heard for decades, which has prompted the health crisis and obesity epidemic the U.S. is now facing.
The most dangerous of the guidelines is the one pushing an increase of the use of liquid vegetable oils like corn and soy, which are known to be detrimental to health. (Read more at the Weston A. Price Foundation web site).
Here is the exact recommendation from the guidelines:
- “Consume less than 10 percent of calories from saturated fatty acids by replacing them with monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids.”
You can see the entire set of guidelines for yourself at the USDA link.
Here we have our tax dollars at work to keep America fat and sick, and it’s working!

Good health will never come from the top down as that attacks the flow of big business and money. I do not think government really is interested in good health as long as a huge economic wheel is poor health.
