For the month of September the smell of chiles roasting pervades the air on street corners and in farm markets all throughout southern Colorado and all of New Mexico. If you haven’t had the opportunity to experience one of the most delectable aromas on the face of the planet then it is worth a trip to the southwest in September just to do so.
We generally put up 5 gunny sacks of green chiles every year and they carry us through the cold months of fall and winter.
